A Counterpoint for Woodwind Trio  (2009) Three equal players will enjoy this fun piece.  It recalls the Inventions and Fugues so prominent in the Baroque Era. Each part has representative lines and techniques which will develop ensemble playing in which all parts are involved in the melodic, rhythmic, and harmonic structure of the work.  The metronome marking is good, but a trio that learns the piece will know how to alter the tempo with well timed and placed rubati.
